This explains what personal information May & Co. collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated October 2026.

Who we are

May & Co. Design LTD (“May & Co.”, “we”) is a web design and marketing studio based in Ramsbottom, Greater Manchester. We decide how the information described here is used. Contact us about anything in this notice at info@mayandco.net.

What we collect

When you get in touch or fill in our questionnaire: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your business details, and your answers.
When you’re a client: the names and email addresses of the people who use the client area, sign-in records, and the comments and approvals you leave there.
To stop spam: a scrambled version of your connection’s IP address when you send the questionnaire. We can’t turn it back into the address.

Please don’t send us passwords, or your customers’ personal details, through the website.

Why we use it

To reply to you and prepare a proposal you’ve asked for. These are steps you’ve asked us to take before a contract.
To provide the services we’ve agreed, as part of our contract with you.
To keep the website and client area secure and free of spam, which is in our legitimate interests.
To keep accounting and tax records, because the law requires it.

We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising.

Cookies and storage

This website doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies. The client area sets one essential cookie to keep you signed in. The questionnaire saves your answers in your own browser until you send them, so you don’t lose them if you close the page. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address so it can deliver them.

Who else handles it

Our website and client area are hosted by Hostinger, and our email is provided by Titan. They process information only to provide those services to us. If we work together and your work involves other providers, we’ll tell you first.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and questionnaire answers that don’t lead to working together: up to 12 months.
Client records: for as long as we work together, then up to 6 years for legal and tax reasons.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email info@mayandco.net and we’ll reply within a month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
